Ta Da!

Ok, so I have promised pictures, and I am finally delivering.  Sorry it took so long, but I had to download pictures and then remember to use the right computer to post them.  Enjoy the photo tour of our "new" house.

First we have the kitchen, which I love because the cabinets are beautiful with great tiny details and I have granite counter tops!!!  Very exciting.

We added the pendant lights and a bookcase to the peninsula the separates the kitchen and breakfast nook.
This is a look into the breakfast nook with our beautiful bay window.  You can also see the new living room furniture, this is one of my favorite new furniture purchases, because I really really disliked the husbands' coaches.  These ones are beautiful and probably the best napping coaches I have ever been on.
Here is a view of the other side of the living room.  We purchased a new TV, it is a mere 52" flat screen...that was the husband's decision.  But I have to admit it is very nice.
Here is a look at the entry way.  That is a brand new beautiful mahogany front door that we found on Craig's list from a local door maker.  Not sure if you can see it but is has wrought iron scrolling with a Texas star in the center.  The secretary desk was a piece of furniture that we found at an antique store and worked on to refinish, including having it gel stained by the SIL.
This is our dining room.  The furniture is the same as we had before the storm.  The chandelier is new and wonderful.  We also installed a dimmer switch, so we have a very beautiful room of furniture and now it is well lighted.
Here is one of our favorite new rooms.  This is the room that has had the most design changes with regards to color and set up.  We decided not to go back with the plastic preformed shower/bath thing and instead put a nice and roomy stand up shower.  We also decided to give the room some extra space by placing a stand alone vanity instead of a built in sink and cabinet.  We think it turned out perfect.  It is like a little spa retreat in the house.

So that is most of our house...the hallway is painted and the master bed and bath are just about done.   Hope you enjoyed the tour and we look forward to showing you the house in person, next time you are in town.
